Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
SPEAK News Network (test publisher identity) ("SPEAK", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It also describes the cookie and advertising technology used on this site, including Google Consent Mode v2.
Information We Collect
SPEAK collects minimal data necessary to operate the service. This includes standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and, if you contact us, any information you voluntarily provide in your message. We do not require an account to read articles.
We do not collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information through normal article reading. If you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, we process only the information you submit and use it for the purpose you provided.
Cookies & Local Storage
We store your consent choice in browser local storage under the key
speak-consent and may store a theme preference. Cookies and local
storage are used for essential site operation, analytics, and—where enabled—advertising.
Essential cookies may be used for security, basic delivery, and functional preferences. Non-essential analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you grant consent through the consent banner or the "Manage cookies" control.
Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how readers use our site. Analytics data is collected only with your consent, which you can grant or withdraw via the consent banner or in the site footer.
With your consent, we have enabled Google Signals in GA4. This allows Google to provide aggregated cross-device and demographic / interest reporting when you are signed into a Google account and have agreed to ad personalization with Google. We do not receive personally identifiable information from GA4 reports; data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics terms.
Analytics and advertising measurement use aggregate and pseudonymous identifiers
(for example, Google's user_pseudo_id in exported event data). We do
not use GA4 to collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information. Our
internal engagement summaries are derived from aggregated page-level metrics, not individual
profiles we maintain.
Retention: In Google Analytics we configure 14 months event and user data retention (the maximum available on standard GA4). Older event data is automatically deleted by Google according to that setting. Our consent choice is stored locally in your browser until you clear site data or withdraw consent.
Advertising & AdSense
Advertising is currently disabled on this site. No ad personalization cookies
are served until explicitly enabled after publisher approval. If enabled in the future,
personalized advertisements will rely on your consent to advertising cookies and data use,
and our implementation will continue to use Google Consent Mode v2 to respect
your choices for ad_storage,
ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.
You can opt out of Google's ad personalization via Google Ad Settings, withdraw consent on this site, or use your browser's privacy controls.
Third-Party Advertising Partners
If and when advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its authorized third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Because our site uses Consent Mode v2, we suppress non-essential ad and analytics tags unless you consent to the relevant purposes.
Data Sharing & Retention
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help operate this site (for example, hosting, analytics, newsletter delivery, and advertising), and only as described in this policy. These providers are expected to process data under their own privacy terms and applicable law.
Server logs and analytics data are retained only as long as needed for security, debugging, and aggregate reporting. GA4 event and user data retention is set to 14 months. Direct contact messages are retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain records.
Your Choices
Use the consent banner when it appears, or click Manage cookies in the footer to withdraw consent and reset your choice. After withdrawing, non-essential analytics and advertising tags remain disabled until you accept again.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, we rely on consent as the lawful basis for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies and related processing by Google. Essential site operation (for example, security and basic delivery) may rely on legitimate interests where applicable. You may contact us to exercise access, correction, or deletion rights regarding personal data we hold directly.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting us via our contact page, or contact@speak-news.test.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the site where practicable.
